1... Clifford LeRoy WALSH. Born 27 Jan 1942 at Bell, Los Angeles, California, he married, on 9 Feb 1963 at Bellflower, Los Angeles, Judith Ann ROZIC. He joined the United States Navy and was selected for training as a Navy SEAL, an elite, highly specialised marine diver and commando. Out of over 1,000 originally selected to begin the training, he was one of only 7 who passed out for acceptance. On 31 Mar 1964, in an underwater (scuba) training exercise off San Diego, he was killed under suspicious circumstances. The details of his death were not released by the US Navy for almost 20 years, and then only as a result of severe pressure tirelessly exerted by his mother Virginia May EVANS. He married 1stly, on 23 July 1965 at Bellflower, Los Angeles, Marsha Kay RIPPLE, great niece of the American outlaw Butch Cassidy (Robert Leroy PARKER (1866-1908)), whose parents had also been Mormons from England. Lonny Dean WALSH married 2ndly, on 8 Aug 1981 at Whittier, Los Angeles, Katherine Margaret KROPP.
