The children of George MARSDEN and Harriet LATHROPE were:
1... Joseph MARSDEN (My G-Grandfather) (1864-1924).Born at Stocksbridge. He married Mary-Ann MOLLOY (b.1859 at Stocksbridge) daughter of Patrick MOLLOY and his wife Mary RYAN, a full-blooded Romany gypsy. Both were Roman Catholics from Kings County (now County Offaly), Ireland, and this marriage introduced (or should I say re-introduced since the Reformation) Roman Catholicism into this branch of an otherwise Protestant family. Joseph MARSDEN died on 30 Apr 1924 and was bur at Bolsterstone on the 3 May. The children of Joseph MARSDEN and Mary-Ann MOLLOY.
2... Frances MARSDEN. Born 1866, she married (1stly, on 13 Jul, 1887) Wilfrid WALKER (1865-1899, son of Joseph WALKER (1833- 30 Apr 1897), a stonemason), and (2ndly, in 1901) John Rowland HEMSLEY, a widower and miner, born 1861 the son of Thomas HEMSLEY a gas maker. Her children.
3... John Thomas MARSDEN (3 Jan 1868- 14 Nov 1917). A carter and grocer, he married, on 16 Jan 1893, Hannah HERBERT (b. 1869) dau of Joseph HERBERT, an engineer. John Thomas and Hannah lived at Viola Bank, Stocksbridge at the time of his death. He is buried at Bolsterstone. Their children. Photo of his grave. Find his grave.
4....Robert Harry MARSDEN (b.1870). He appears as a junior member of the Stocksbridge Works Prize Band in their photograph of 1883. He married, on 2 May 1892, Hannah Senior HAGUE (b.1872), dau of Alfred HAGUE, butcher. Their children.
5... Ann MARSDEN (b. 1872). She married, on 5 Nov 1894, Edwin BAMFORTH (b. 1872; he was a gardener in 1898), son of Edwin BAMFORTH Snr. Their children.
6... Lucy MARSDEN. Born 1876, she married, on 16 May 1897, Ernest PACEY (b.1876), son of Charles PACEY; both father and son were spring makers. Their children.

Adelaide LATHROPE (illegitimate), born 6 Jun 1861 at Stocksbridge, Yorkshire, Chr 3 Nov 1861 at Bolsterstone, Yorkshire. In 1881 she was a steel cutter in the Umbrella Works at Samuel Fox's in Stocksbridge. In 1881 she married Sam REVITT (born abt 1861) at Stocksbridge. She died in 1941. Their children.
